Annual Events in Fort Lauderdale

January-March

For those with a passion for savory moments, the arrival of the Visit Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival in January is always a treat! This event invites guests to make the most of sips and bites in good company over the course of a week. Some of the top area mixologists and chefs are on-site to do demonstrations and live music on the beach tops off the experience in style. All proceeds from this flavorful event go to the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.

In early February, Seaglass: A Fort Lauderdale Rosé Experience will be in town. This is a three-day event that showcases the best of rosé varietals from across the globe. It’s hosted on Fort Lauderdale Beach and guests can enjoy access to more than 30 types of wines and spirits on-site.

Step back in Time throughout February and March by taking part in the Florida Renaissance Festival on the weekends. Participants are invited to dress in their Renaissance best as they browse artisan vendors showcasing everything from era-specific weaponry and leather goods to hand-blown glass. There’s plenty of cold ale and mead to go around while the ax-throwing competitions are sure to thrill.

The St. Patrick’s Parade & Festival will also return to the city in March, attracting thousands of spectators and celebrating all things Irish in authentic and fun style!

April-June

April marks the arrival of the Tortuga Music Festival to Fort Lauderdale much to the delight of country music enthusiasts from near and far. It’s hosted at Marina Village and tickets can be purchased online in advance of the festival fun.

In May, those with a heart for aviation will be thrilled with their experience at the annual Fort Lauderdale Air Show. Head over to Fort Lauderdale Beach to observe mind-bending precision flight events and military demonstrations alike.

July-September

Dine Out Lauderdale Restaurant Month happens throughout the month of August in Fort Lauderdale. In September, the FemAle Brew Fest is in town and will be hosted at Esplanade Park. It’s a must for beer lovers and an experience in highlighting female brew masters in the area. October-December

The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show comes to town at the end of October, bringing with it over 90 acres and three million square feet of exhibit space for guests to enjoy. It’s a five-day event that’s hosted across seven venues throughout the city. Between the seminars, aquatic demos, AquaZone, and Superyacht Village, it’s a must-visit for anyone with a passion for time on the waves.

December in Fort Lauderdale is the time of year to enjoy the Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade. Often referred to as the “best show on H20” this is an experience that’s always thrilling. Spectators can enjoy seeing vessels of all types and sizes sail through the waters adorned in their holiday best. Boats will be outfitted with trees, lights, wreaths, and more as they make their way along a 12-mile designated route.
